Onboard Activities’ Waiver

Home » Royal Caribbean FAQ’s » Onboard Activities’ Waiver

What kinds of onboard activities require waivers?

Royal Caribbean International requires waivers for the FlowRider®, ice skating, inline skating, the bungee trampoline, the Rock Climbing Wall, and the Zip Line. Not all activities are available on all ships.

What kinds of restrictions are there for activities?

Activities may have age, height, and/or weight restrictions. Guests participating in the FlowRider®, for example, must be at least 52″/132 cm tall to use the bodyboard and 58″/147 cm tall to use the flowboard. Rock climbers must be at least 6 years old, and climbers under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please see each individual activity’s waiver for restrictions and requirements.

How do I sign a waiver?

You will be able to complete all Onboard’ Activities Waivers once onboard. If you’re sailing on Mariner of the Seas®, Allure of the Seas®, Adventure of the Seas®, Independence of the Seas® and Voyager of the Seas® (in October 2014), you may sign waivers online through Cruise Planner, up to 3 days prior to your sail date.

What kind of information do I need in order to sign an online waiver?

For each person you are signing a waiver for (yourself and/or a minor), you must have the guest’s last name, date of birth, reservation number, and the name of the ship and sail date.

May I sign a waiver for a minor?

Yes, if you are the parent or legal guardian of the minor. If a minor is part of a student or Quincinera group, please speak with your Groups Agent for assistance in signing waivers for your group.
